On the 25th May 2012 DHIVA, RHIVA and NHIVNA held a Joint MDT study day at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital sponsored by Gilead, ViiV healthcare and Abbott. The theme of the day was ‘The Future of the HIV MDT’. The day was a huge success with over 60 delegates attending to hear from the likes of Professor Jane Anderson and her plans to ensure the HIV MDT is a continual inclusion in the future for looking after our patients infected with HIV. Other speakers included Paul Mason- Economics Editor of BBC news night presenting on ‘The beginning of the end of the NHS’.
Delegates of the study day thoroughly enjoyed the study day with saying:
-It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and very useful for planning the future.
-Well run and organised study with very credible speakers- inspiring.
-Excellent talk about competencies and the process of how they were developed.
-Really useful to have MDT aspect as able to learn about the members of our teams and what they do.
